Virus Disinfection Services
Everybody wants the peace of mind of knowing that they're doing more than cleaning – they're disinfecting as they go. Whether that's the workplace, schools, the home, a medical facility or a food preparation area viral disinfection is now a top priority for Americans and while that's mostly due to the attention generated by COVID the fact remains that a sanitary and safe living space should always be a top priority. Our electrostatic cleaning services don't just leave your buildings clean, they're also a proven way of disinfecting as we go and killing all known germs including viruses.
What is a Virus?
Viruses are microscopic infectious agents that require a host to live and develop. Once they've found their way into a host cell they then force it to start making copies of the virus and so the infection spreads unless it is deal with by the host's immune system. Unlike bacteria viruses can't life independently of the host but they can often survive for days on surfaces while waiting for a host. They are the most numerous biological entity on the planet though scientists differ about whether to consider them a life form. Our main interest at Pinnacle is in getting rid of them and that is done by sanitizing which reduced their number and disinfecting which kills them.
What is Electrostatic Disinfection
With electrostatic spray disinfection a powerful disinfectant solution is atomized and sprayed onto your surfaces, but unlike foggers and misters that is only part of the story. As the solution passes through the nozzle of the electrostatic sprayer it passes an electrode which electrically charges it. Now what you have is a fine spray of positively charged particles which naturally repel each other and are attracted to non positively charged surfaces.
How Electrostatic Disinfection Kills Viruses
That repulsion factor means the minute droplets of disinfectant push each other way which means that the solution spreads evenly around surfaces and wraps around objects traveling to the sides and the niches that aren't reached by a simple direct spray. So you have a disinfectant that is lethal to viruses and that is evenly spread across all surfaces. The result is a massively more effective impact on any germs. Traditional sprayers and foggers are only as good as the attention paid by the operator to cover all areas, with electrostatic charging the process of spreading the disinfectant is done by the droplets themselves. Combine that with an experienced and professional operator and viruses are left with no place to hide.
We select EPA endorsed viral disinfectants for maximum effect and using electrostatic spraying to disperse them means blanket coverage, including hidden surfaces, while actually using less solution which means better protection with less risk to sensitive equipment. A skilled operator will be able to effectively disinfect an area in less than half the time of one using non electrostatic equipment such as mist sprayers and be sure that the process leaves a far more sanitary environment.
